Namaste!

Allright, I'm in India! I don't even know where to start... Arrived in Mumbai, taking a bus to Lonavala which is a crazy 3 hour ride through traffic without rules, lanes and it seems without minds... Driving through absolute poverty and crazy huge crowds. Cows on every street, people everywhere (on traintracks, sleeping in their house on a " vluchtheuvel"... Went to Pune by train. You know that feeling when you are a tuna and you're put in a can?... That's what taking a train in INdia feels like. There's kids/people begging for money and fod everywhere, it's hard that we can't give them anything. Most likely the kids are trafficked and money will go to their " let use caretakers". You might say that the culture and the way of living in India is different from the West, but that is obviously just suggestive. So many things come to my mind, I can't process everything I see, so if you want to know...Go to India!
We're staying on the YWAM base in Lonavala, it's pretty good here. The food is rice, but variated in that area. Though I still need laxatives. We have class in the morings where we learn about the culture. IN the afternoon we serve the base by cleaning and all sorts of stuff and in de late aftenroon/evening we go out for ministry. We visit the slumbs around the base and are welcomed in the homes of the families. Some have allready become christian others not, but they are all very open for prayer. They pray a lot to their Gods but they came to realize that when christians pray for them to Jesus it actually works. There have been lots of healing and miraculous provisions in their lives. We prayed for a man who had an accident during work. His both legs were hurting very bad and his ankle was broken. We prayed for him and strenght came back in his legs and he felt a shifting in his leg. Other people accepted Jesus during our ministry. One of our teams prayed for a blind woman who now sees (and accepted Jesus), prayed for a lame woman who walks again (with help though because her muscles are weak) and for a deaf guy who now hears again. God is doing amazing things allready. I can't wait to see what He has for us the coming two months.
I'll try to keep you updated! Would you please continue praying for me/us? There's lots of spiritual warfare going on. The food kind of makes you weak. Please pray for open hearts for the people we minister to. But espacially for good health, because nothing sucks more on outreach than being sick here. Please pray that I get used to the culture and that I stay close to God. I thank you all for reading this enormous message and for praying or just taking the time for caring... I love hearing from you, thanks for your messages as well!

Byeeeeee!
