Hello again,

We're going further away from western society every week. May 8th we left on a 15 hour busride (uncomfortable) to the west of Nepal. We spend 4 weeks in total here. It is a small YWAM base in the center which is a bit civilized but it's surrounded by a rural area where you know you are far away from modern society. It felt it was 3000 years earlier. In the villages the houses are made of bamboo, straw and mud. There's goats, chicken and buffalo's walking around everywhere and the smell of poo is very common. A lot of the villages are unreached (they've never heard the gospel) so a lot of the ministry contains drawing crowds by being white and sharing the good news with them.
The second week we were packed in a jeep and drove over a mountain over a very questionable dirtroad to this village called Sarhgat. It was completely isolated, no connection to the rest of the world. Their water came out of the river and they provided their own food through farming. It was an amazing experience. We stayed there or three nights. We held seminars in the church for the believers there. We planned to go to Kolikot (an even more remote place) but there was a strike for many days so we couldn't go there.
We went back to surketh (in a jeep packed with 20 people a baby and a goat on top (peeing and everything). We had a lot of rest, which was really good, because it gave God time to really work in/on my heart. The past few weeks I've been struggling with a lot of things (living with a team 24/7, being uncomfortable, missing home etc.) I learned a lot about myself and where I still lack in love. It's been a hard couple of weeks especially the past week when we went to another more remote village. We stayed with the pastor of the local church and did ministry there. A lot of the same but we also taught them how to build a water filter.(a lot of people have stomach and head aches caused by lack of clean water) We slept in the church on the floor and we had a translator who barely spoke English and lots of other things that challenged me.
More stuff to learn and cope with. For a moment I couldn't see the fun in being there anymore, but after a couple of days I've had a lot of breakthrough in different area's. God is very patient and good. I feel alive again and I enjoy the adventure of being here a lot, thank God!:P
There is a lot of awesome stuff we do here. Riding in packed vans (and on top of it), Going to places where no one would ever go on a regular trip, seeing people accepting Jesus in their lives, chasing pigs, see how the church in Nepal is passionate and growing. It is such an adventure to be here in the middle of nowhere, I'm super thankful that I can be here and see all this.
Tomorrow we actually go to Kolikot (super remote not reached place) for 4 days. After that we go to Pokhara (apperently the most beautiful place in Nepal) for debrief. Just going back to normal life a it and going over the whole outreach with the team. We are going to do some hiking, paragliding, white water rafting, staying in a nice hotel... It's gonna be legit!
After 5 days we leave for Kathmandu again for the last week of ministry.(streetyouth, prostitutes, temples, whatever;)) And then it's allready time to go back to Kona! Time flies, only 3 weeks left...
PLease keep praying for me, that we can go hard the last 3 weeks and see more amazing things happening. Please pray that God can do His awesome work in me and that I keep growing in this season. Thank you for reading this, thanks for your prayers and I hope to write soon again.

Byeeee!
